My name is Jilian, I'm 5'8, 130 lbs, chestnut hair, chocolate eyes, and work way too hard for my own good. I am interested in science, particularly chemistry and marine ecology. Specifically, I am fascinated by marine invertebrates (my favorites-especially Scyphozoans<--my obsession!) and how they are affected by the growing impact of ocean acidification.

I am naturally curious, outgoing, and I like to think critically and clinically. I ask questions because I want to understand. I am passionate, and driven, and when I know what I want, I go for it. And to dismiss the accusations I get from time to time, to quote Einstein, "It's not that I'm so smart, It's just that I stay with problems longer."

I love photography, graphic design, and pixel art, but my true obsession is tattooing. Honestly, if I weren't terrified of doing lasting damage to someone's skin, I would become a tattoo artist. But because I am, I'll just stick to getting tattoos and observing the beautiful art on the skin of others.
